When we appreciate a film, we subconsciously notice its technical details too. Isn’t it beauty that we all see in these details? The subconscious attention to these details and technicalities is also a part of the aesthetic experience. Art and its inherent beauty have been the means of respite and entertainment in equal measure. The high that a geek feels while being engrossed in solving a puzzle is also an aesthetic experience. It gives a sense of pleasant company. The happiness that one feels in the recurrence of real-life experiences is also a form of aesthetic experience. This experience can be compared to the mainstream or commercial films. In these films, when the ‘Hero’ is confronted by the ‘Villain’, the audience has no doubt about who is going to get beaten up. Yet, the pleasure that they seek in the repetition of events is an aesthetic experience too. So, interpretation of beauty becomes an essential parameter in gauging the quality and forming an opinion of art. Thus, aesthetics is an integral part, in different capacities, of all art-forms, including cinema.
